Tom's Garage used to be..... Tom's garage.  That is, until he appropriated it and exiled the cars to the outside.  Tom's Garage is an oversized 2-car space with an 8-foor ceiling and concrete floor.  We have tamed the worst of the reflections, hot spots, and flutter and made it into a workable recording space.  The drums are partially isolated, and the guitar and bass are recorded direct into the board to eliminate live sound bleed into the drum and room mics.

CITIZEN GROOVE tracks performance using two Behringer X32 racks in a master/slave setup.  We use the X32's preamps.  Reaper is our DAW software.  The laptop is a specialized ADK running Win11, although Reaper has such a small operational footprint that it will run on just about anything as long as you don't load down tracks with a ton of plugins.

Monitoring is done via the X32 Ultranet output, into individual P-16M personal monitoring stations.  Each performer has their own station with a 16-channel personalized monitor mix into in-ear monitors or headphones.

Mixing and mastering is done by Ralph, on another ADK laptop with its SPDIF output routed to a ????? DAC, then to ????? headphones.  Tom also does some rough mixes but only for internal consumption and critiquing.
